Firebration has many roles..... Firebration Learning is our schools and Woodland based offerings. Here is our exciting new project , aimed at key stage two children. This project combines years of adventure experience, in the classroom, by the fire, on the mountains and doing the personal development work also. It directly approaches the What Matters Statements and Progression Steps in the Well being section of the National Curriculum. Our portable tipi makes a beautiful classroom/ retreat space, for children to develop mindfulness techniques that they can take away with them, and our host of specialist outdoor ed equipment gives them the resources to bring it to life. "Through Firebration's engaging outdoor sessions, our children have discovered the power of breathing exercises for self-regulation. Inspired by your guidance, many children now use these techniques to manage anxiety and find calmness when needed.
Den building was a creative adventure for our pupils; not only designing and creating structures but working to use their knowledge of knots to secure them too.
The range of activities offered over the three sessions were an exciting way to build holistic development, physically, mentally and socially. Children were able to make activities their own accomplishment, with little direction from an adult, giving them a sense of independence and achievement as they identified and managed risks to successfully complete each task.
